This Black Tektite (Indochinite) is a piece of natural glass that formed roughly 790,000 years ago, when a meteorite impact melted surface rock and flung it high into the atmosphere. It cooled on the way and fell back to Earth across Southeast Asia, leaving these dark, glassy stones with one of the more unusual origin stories in the crystal world.
