AAA Grade Libyan Desert Glass, also known as Libyan Gold Tektite or Libyan Impact Glass, is a rare natural glass found only in the Eastern Sahara Desert. Libyan Desert Glass carries a bright, radiant energy reminiscent of sunlight. It formed around 29 million years ago when a meteorite impact or atmospheric explosion produced intense heat (over 1,600°C), melting sand and rock that later cooled into this remarkable material.

The glass ranges in color from pale yellow to greenish-yellow and is often transparent or translucent, with smooth, weathered surfaces shaped over millions of years by the desert environment.
