Prasiolite, also known as Green Quartz, is a beautiful stone featuring a lovely green hue. While natural Prasiolite is incredibly rare, most of the Prasiolite on the market is heat-treated amethyst, sourced from a limited number of amethyst localities in Brazil. When exposed to heat, this particular type of amethyst can either turn green, becoming Prasiolite, or transform into yellow-orange Citrine.
